Found with his face severely scorched and an extension cord wrapped around his neck, Buddy was set on fire by a child, who later confessed but could not be prosecuted due to their age.
Despite his severe injuries, Buddy’s recovery has been remarkable. He underwent skin grafts and slowly started healing. After months of wearing bandages, Buddy finally regained his eyesight in August 2021, marking a huge turning point in his recovery. He is now more playful and happy, though he still has some special needs, including sensitive skin and eyes that may require eye drops and sunscreen.
Buddy’s story went viral, inspiring many people. His progress continues to bring hope, and he is gradually returning to his joyful self, playing with toys and walking around with a ball in his mouth.
